LCD TVs For Sale
Liquid Crystal televisions have dominated the luxury TV purchases over the past few years. With the development of other high-quality TVs such as Plasma, LCD TVs have lowered in price to be more affordable with their competition. At LowCostLuxuries.com, we have an assortment of LCD TVs for sale at very reasonable prices.
Although Plasmas have recently been the hottest item when it comes to television purchases, LCDs still dominate the marketplace especially for those in search of a smaller screen size. So what is the difference between Plasma and Liquid Crystal televisions? When looking at them side-by-side, they appear pretty similar. Both have flat and thin panels and both have similar quality when it comes to the picture quality itself. It is the technology used between the two that keep it separate.
LCD panels are made up of two layers that are transparent, polarized and glued together (so-to-speak). One of the layers actually holds the liquid crystals. A current is passed through the crystals which either block or allow light to create the images. LCD TVs do not produce their own light, so a bulb is necessary to make the images appear to the viewer on-screen. Plasma technology on the other hand is based on the fluorescent bulb and consists of cells rather than crystals. Neon-Xeon gas is injected and sealed in plasma during the manufacturing process and is electrically charged and various intervals when the TV is in use. The colors come through as pixels which is very similar to the ‘traditional' tube-televisions with the exception that no tube is used in Plasma. Liquid Televisions disperse less heat and power when in use over the Plasma TV. However, Plasma Televisions do come in larger sizes.
The good thing about LCD TVs is the sales available. These are still very popular televisions, and as mentioned earlier, are competing now with Plasmas. LCDs are very strong in quality and affordable in price. Check out the LCD TVs for sale at LowCostLuxuries.com for more information.
